”Appreciative Inquiry is the search for the best in people, their organization, and the world around them” (David Cooperrider). In this presentation, Dr. Julie DeSot will introduce you to Appreciative Inquiry (AI) and help you connect AI for an updated view of problem-solving and change management, connect AI to the PMBOK® lifecycle, and introduce the Appreciative Project Management “5 D” cycle.

Anyone that is a practicing Project Manager, anyone studying to take the PMP Exam, as well
as anyone that is interested in the Project Management Profession.

Dr. Julie DeSot, PMP, PMI-ACP, is a Project Manager, Leadership Coach, and Professor. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. DeSot helps individuals, project teams, and organizations improve their performance through process improvement, professional development, and consulting. Julie has been a project manager as a government contractor supporting DoL, GSA, TSA, US Marine Corps, and US Navy, as well as many public organizations. Dr. DeSot received her Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2004, and her PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) in 2015; and received her Doctoral in 2010 from the University of Maryland University College.
