Ricky Henry is a recognized educator and speaker in project, portfolio and program management, business analysis, SDLCs and agile software development. Her presentations and trainings have received high ratings by attendees. Her experience with software development goes back to over 37 years, when she started as a programmer analyst at Pacific Life progressing through the ranks as a Sr. programmer analyst and then lead programmer analyst at American Express which was also the start of her project management experience. She has worked in the Insurance, Credit Card, gaming and county government industries.
In more recent times Ricki established the Project Management Office at Clark County NV and co-developed the PMO in the Travel Division of American Express. At Clark County the PMO includes policies, procedures, templates, best practices, and exhibits not only for project management but also for business analysis, testers and developers. She also coaches and mentors the IT staff there in project management and established the Portfolio Management Review Board
As a passionate and dedicated speaker and trainer Ricki runs the Clark County NV Project Management Workshops by both developing and presenting two hour workshops which include a presentation then hands on exercises. She also delivers a two day Project Management Basics workshop for that program. As former VP of Education for the local PMI chapter Ricki still runs their PMP Prep classes and still provides workshops for chapter members.
Ricki is a veracious learner and holds the following certifications:
PMP, Certified Scrum Master, Green Belt Six Sigma, Black Belt in MS Project Server. Project Management with Microsfot Project Essentials certificate, Project Portfolio Management Masterclass certificate, ITIL Version 3 Foundation certificate and Next Generation PMO and Portfolio Management certificate.

Ricki earned her Bachelor Degree in Math with an Education minor at the University of Florida. She has over 35 years of experience as a volunteer instructor for Red Cross also serving at various chapters as Chairman of the Health and Safety Committee, Chairman of Instructor Quality Control, Instructor Trainer and Instructor Trainer Educator (oversees apprenticeship of instructor trainer candidates).
