About our Speaker:
Dr. Anderson retired from 13 years with Lockheed Martin and now consults with organizations on organization development, change management, and project management. She taught Project Management and Organization Development for 15 years as an adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix and Colorado Technical University. She is the current vice-president of Education for the Southern Nevada Chapter of the Project Management Institute conducting workshops and PMP exam preparation classes for 2 years. She holds a Project Management Professional certification in addition to a professional certification in Configuration Management and ITIL.
The PMBOK guide, 6th Edition, more closely represents the current environment for project management, reflecting a variety of approaches for product and project development and providing more clarity and consistency with other relevant PMI standards. Several processes have undergone changes and the Guide now recognizes that multiple project development lifecycles are necessary to fit the diversity of our organizations and industries. The anticipated addition of agile practices to our prcess groups will also be unveiled and explained, providing a stimulas to the adaptability and competitiveness of our organizations.
