Synopsis:This 2-hour workshop presents a project management approach to accumulating the PDUs needed to satisfy Continuing Certification Requirements (CCRs). This workshop applies the PMBOK framework to creating and executing a strategy to enable certification holders to complete requirements within schedule and budget. Using the Talent Triangle, this approach looks at ways to balance technical, leadership, and strategic and business management types of education and practical experience to the cycle of certification retention. Synopsis:This three-hour workshop provides a perspective on how innovation represents change in an organization. Using a project management perspective this workshop explains innovation as both a compelling reason for change, as well as an outcome of change. Dr. Clemmons addresses how innovation presents organizations with opportunities to embrace or reject challenges to people, processes, and culture, along with an overview of the nature and process of innovation concluding with recommended readings of the ‘classics’ of innovation and provide a cognitive understanding of the difference between Adaptors, Creators, Inventors, and Innovators (very important), as well as the perils of innovation. Various models of the innovation process will be explained and then will be applied to a case study in innovation.
